A couple slight tweaks... sorry I do agree it is a good idea though.
I have gotten some good feedback from people regarding both of these topics. Some of it was a little much, but it did make me realize I should at least put some thought into it. I think this should solve both issues
FREE AGENT SALARY STRUCTURE We're going to do this:
During no year of a player's contract can he be getting less than half of what the AAS offer was at the time of the NoFunLeague signing.
For example, if you sign a guy for $10M, you cannot offer to pay him less than $5M in any season.
RELEASE PENALTY (prior to this was only 50% of the current year's obligation) To discourage against signing a guy for a big contract and releasing him, the following rule applies for players you release:
If a player is signed to an AAS greater $15M, you are obligated to pay him 50% of his AAS salary for the season you drop him in AND the following season
These moves are both effective immediately, as no crazy contracts have been signed yet I don't believe. If either of these rules would have led you to not sign a player you have already signed, please contact Melby or I and we will decide on a fair resolution.
