In the other league i'm in this is always a problem....finding EVERY rookies salary is a pain in the ass, seemingly the best site for contracts is rotoworld but they rly dont update the contract until the 2nd yr usually, then it's broken down!
Any suggestions in here?
1. We use our own scale?
2. We sumhow try and find the real contracts?
3. We put them all at $300 K for their 1st yr?

i vote option 3 a scale would work if its done right but i say we use a flat rate; 300k 500k idc something in that range seems fair nate

I know you're talkin about baseball, but the nfl pays its rookies different than mlb. A QB taken #1 vs say a WR, RB, or CB is gonna make more money than any of them. So just setting a default scale probably wont work unless we set a different price for each position or at least by round. Then when their actual salaries come out you update them. I would maybe go with 1M for 1st rd picks, .5M for 2nd rd picks, and .3M for 3rd rd picks. Just a thought.

Sam Bradford is making $405 K this season, 2nd yr in the league and #1 pick overall....but offhand I think Suh is like $6 Mil or sumthing!
but yea, that kinda scale would seem fair imo

i really havent had problem finding the contract and price and length just the yearly breakdown...example 4 yrs at 2.97m so i would break it down to avg it out yearly until contract breakdown is found and adjust accordingly. but i also think victors idea is doable also...i could work with that scenario.

sumtimes signing bonuses are a big part of those #'s tho....perfect example is Bradford....I forgot what is full deal was but surely wouldn't expect him to be just making $405 K this season and pretty cheap next several years
