(prev ranking in parenthesis)
(1) Packers (7-1, 1st Place NFC North) - in a NFC North slugfest, the Packers KO'd the Bears for their 6th straight victory. They are a nightmare to face, and the Saints and next up. Next Matchup: NO
(2) 2. Texans (7-2, 1st Place AFC South) - more smooth sailing last week in Indianapolis, and it doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon, especially not with the Browns on tap. Next Matchup: CLE
(4) 3. Panthers (7-1, 1st Place NFC South) - coming off the bye, this team has a chip on its shoulder and will be out to seek and destroy the Vikes. Next Matchup: MIN
(7) 4. Steelers (7-2, 1st Place AFC North) - they keep hopping up the rankings. Seems like the sights keep getting set higher with each game as they are starting to look more like the team everyone expected to see. And they should easily take care of business this week. Next Matchup: IND
(3) 5. Bears (6-2, 2nd Place NFC North) - they couldn't stop the Pack last weekend as some key injuries held them back, but they should find some running room vs. the slumping Falcons. Next Matchup: ATL
(5) 6. Patriots (6-2, 1st Place AFC East) - they ran into a stubborn Dolphins squad in a shootout, and came up a little short. It was a relatively down week for the passing attack though, which you wouldn't think would keep up. They do have a cross country battle with the Chargers, which may be a make or break game for Brady and co. Nex Matchup: SD
(8) 7. Chargers (6-2, 1st Place AFC West) - this team rocked the Broncos world last weekend in something of a statement game. AP doesn't think they're getting any respect. "We've won 5 straight and aren't even talked about!" Next matchup:
(7) 8. Bengals (6-2, 2nd Place AFC North) - another game and this season just keeps on getting better for the Bengals as they had a huge win over the Ravens. They have a game this week that they should take care of, but need to continue being consistent. Next Matchup: TEN
(6) 9. Ravens (6-2, 3rd Place AFC North) - the latest casualty of the sneaky Bengals team coming out of nowhere, they didn't quite get the production they needed last week. They will be up against a Jaguars team who needs a win too, so need to bounceback. Next Matchup: JAC
(11) 10. Buccaneers (5-3, 2nd Place NFC South) - they had a good game against the Titans, and another win this week would be huge for them in the playoff race since it's against another team that's right with them. Next Matchup: DET
