Trading
Trading between teams can be accomplished in numerous ways. Three of the most efficient ways to begin negotiating a trade with another team are as follows:
* Go to the board entitled “Trade Block”. In this section, you can post the players you wish to trade and/or what types of players you are interested in trading for. Do not post trade offers on the message board.
* Each GM can be reached by PM, email, or YIM. Please see the GM Contact area for each GM's information. This is a personal message sent by you to another GM via the message board. Only the GM you send it to can see this message and it acts as a great way to negotiate back and forth. Simply click on a GM's name and proceed to "Send Personal Message," and you can send a message easily.
A team cannot acquire more then 3 extra players in a single trade at any time. Any individual trade cannot exceed 10 players in it
Draft Picks for the next two seasons are allowed to be traded; for example, this season, you are able to trade your 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 draft picks away, but can't trade any 2014/2015 draft picks (more than 2 seasons away)
Trade Review Process
If you agree to a trade, post the trade in the Trade Review Section. Your post must include ALL players in the deal, as well as ALL players contracts and salaries. You must also write a short paragraph explaining why you feel the trade will positively impact your franchise and how you feel the players acquired fit your team better then the players you traded away. These statements will be weighed in the voting process. When reviewing a trade, an owner should not consider whether his team would make this trade, but only whether or not it seems as if the owners are doing what they think is best for their team. Vetoes should be used in rare circumstances. If you are vetoing a trade, you should send your opinion to the league office as to why you are vetoing. You should NOT clutter up a trade review thread with your opinion(s) and back and forth bickering between owners.
The trade review process will involve a time-tiered league vote: after both owners have confirmed the trade in the trading review area, a poll will be started. After 2 full days, if less than 50% of the voters have approved the trade AND there have been more than 5 votes, the poll will remain open for another 2 full days and the Commissioner will reach out to the people who have not yet voted. At that point, if less than 50% of the voters have approved, the trade is vetoed. If after 2 full days or after 5 full days, more than 50% of the voters have approved, the trade is passed. If it is clear (more than 10 Yes votes with almost no Nos or vice versa) the trade is going to pass or be vetoed, I will expedite the process
Trading With New GM's
New GM's must be in the league for 7 days before making a trade. This allows new GM's to get accustomed to the league, the rules, and allows it so they dont make mistakes early.
Trading Deadline
The trade deadline will be decided shortly
