Inaugural Roster:
Each franchise has the rights to the full roster of their real life counterpart to start the league. 35 of these players must be selected and posted in the League Archives section titled "___'s 2011/2012 Official Roster" by 8/11/11. It should not include any players you have traded for.
This will have been the starting point for your No Fun League Roster that is posted in your team area that is always kept CURRENT AND UP TO DATE. Your roster must be under the salary cap.
Types of Players:
FOR OUR PURPOSES, A YEAR OF NFL EXPERIENCE IS 6 GMS APPEARED IN OR MORE[/b]
Restricted Players -
A Restricted player is someone who has less than four years of NFL experience.
Unrestricted Players-
An Unrestricted player is someone who is has four years of NFL experience or more. This player may sign a contract with any NFL team, and their previous team gets no compensation in any form. You become a UFA if you get cut, or if your contract runs out and you have at least four years of NFL experience.
Lifers-
For all players who were rookies in 2011/2012 or later, a Lifer is a certain type of unrestricted player who has been on their real life team for more than 5 seasons. If this player remains on the same franchise in our league as in real life and upon entering unrestricted Free Agency that player resigns with that same franchise, the team in our league has the OPTION to keep that player with that real life contract.
For all players who were rookies in 2012/2013 or later, a Lifer is someone who has been with the same franchise in real life for more than 5 seasons. The rules are the same except that a Lifer who comes into the league after 2012/2013 does not have to still be on the same franchise here as in real life (this is because our draft picks will not go to the same teams as in real life).
