There was a mix-up, that seems to have been created by bad transaction log upkeep by the old Bengals GM involving Mikel LeShoure being traded to the Bills, and then AGAIN traded to the Rams less than a week later. Since the Bengals did not own the pieces involved in the deal, the deal should be vetoed and reversed; sending all pieces back to the original teams prior to the deal.

Buffalo Bills Trade:
LB Demeco Ryans (HOU) ('11:$5.8,'12:$5.9M,'13:$6.6M,'14:$6.8M,'15:$6.8M,'16:FA)
WR Donald Jones (BUF) ('11:$0.405M,'12:$0.49M,'13:UFA)
For
Cincinnati Bengals Trade:
RB Mikel LeShoure (DET)
2012 3rd Round Pick (GB)
However, a deal where the Rams acquired LeShoure less than a week later was also approved.

Cincinnati Bengals Trade:
TE Julius Thomas (DEN) ('11-'14:$0.3M,'15:UFA)
RB Mike LeShoure (DET) ('11-'14:$0.3M,'15:UFA)
DB Javier Arenas (KC) ('11:$0.405M,'12:$0.49M,'13:$0.575M,'14:UFA)
WR Riley Cooper (PHI) (11:$0.405M,'12:$0.49M,'13:$0.575M,'14:UFA)
2012 2nd Round Pick (GB)
For
St. Louis Rams Trade:
RB Roy Helu (WAS) ($300 K Signed thru 2014)
LB Karlos Dansby (MIA) ($2.7 M - Signed thru 2014)
LB Aaron Curry (OAK) ($5,076,250 M -Signed thru 2014)
DB Darian Stewart (STL) ($300K - Signed thru 2012)
Obviously the Bills deal came first. Rayne didn't do a good job keeping his transaction log up to date, so I would think LeShoure is indeed his, and since that's the case THE RAMS/BENGALS TRADE SHOULD BE VETOED AND REVERSED as Bengals didn't even own the pieces he was trading. If anything since LeShoure is unavailable for this deal, as the new Rams GM I would be open to taking offers solely from Bengals and maybe talk a deal out for any of Dansby, Curry, Stewart; however, with the young RB being received unavailable Helu needs to be returned and will also be OFF THE TABLE.
The Bengals may also need to forfeit some of their achievements from last year, as they easily may not have made it as far as they did minus some of the guys they received in this deal. However, it was a problem created by their own ignorance. In not keeping an updated transaction log, they made a trade, and proceeded to agree to a voided and incomplete deal soon after. Everyone should learn from this.
